
Sfouf, Lebanese Cake with Carob Molasses

Ingredients:
- 200g flour
- 250g carob molasses
- 250ml anise infusion with 2 cloves
- 100ml vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp orange blossom water
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 handful of sesame seeds (as desired)
Preparation:
- Mix the flour and baking powder in a bowl.
- Prepare the infusion with anise and cloves.
- Pour the oil into the bowl and continue mixing.
- Add the anise infusion, then the carob molasses. Finally, flavor with the orange blossom water. Mix until smooth and even.
- Pour the batter into a previously oiled mold (preferably square or rectangular), then sprinkle with sesame seeds.
- Bake in a hot oven (180°C) for 30 mins.
