Christmas Turkey with Zaatar & Fruits in Syrup

Preparation:

 

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. Chop the shallots and mince the garlic.
  3. In a salad bowl, mix the minced pork and ground veal.
  4. Add the shallot, garlic,1 teaspoon zaatar premium qawzah and mix.
  5. Cut 5 dates stuffed with almonds in syrup then incorporate them into the stuffing.
  6. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Stuff the inside of the bird with the preparation.
  8. Arrange the turkey in a baking dish, add the bitter orange peels in syrup and the remaining dates.
  9. Pour the chicken stock and white wine over the turkey.
  10. Bake for 1h30 at 180°C. Halfway through cooking, baste the turkey to prevent it from drying it out. Serve hot.
